Klewenalp-Stockhütte, Switzerland

Unlike the major freeride appeal of nearby Engelberg-Titlis, family-friendly Klewenalp wins you over with charm not death-defying off-piste lines.

Lift-accessed terrain only reaches 2001 meters (6565 feet) making the snowpack less ideal than it`s larger glacial neighbor, but still allows for quality snow conditions from December into early April.

Shredshot Story

I hadn`t been shooting for a while, so I called up a buddy and asked him if he wanted to take some shredshots at Klewenalp? He said, “Yes, I think stylie toeside pow sprays would be a delightful idea.”

He didn’t actually answer me like that, but he did clearly lay-out a sweet toe-side-slide on Central Swiss freshies during our top-to-bottom descent toward Lake Luzern 2000 meters below.
